We organised the casting of star talent and experienced ADR character voice actors for this project – to dub three delightful episodes of this original Japanese animated series RONJA, THE ROBBER’S DAUGHTER into English.

Joanna Page, star of the popular British romantic sitcom Gavin and Stacey, will return to the small screen as the voice of Poppy Cat in the brand-new second series of the kids’ animated show, which launches on Nick Jr. on September 8 and will air every weekday at 9 a.m.
“It is exciting that Poppy Cat has been commissioned for a second season,” says Page. “I got involved with the show because the stories are so sweet, and it is just so great for children – all of the magical adventures which encourage them to use their imagination, and going off to different worlds, is just so wonderful.”
Award winning comedian, actor, writer and Monty Python alumnus Michael Palin has been confirmed as the narrator for a new version of the classic BBC animated series Clangers.
The stop-motion series plans 52 11-minute episodes and is expected to launch in the spring in the United Kingdom. The new series is a co-production between BBC, Coolabi Group, Smallfilms and Sprout.
The original Clangers first aired on the BBC in 1969.
Clangers marks Palin’s first foray into children’s animation, having previously authored a collection of children’s books.
Palin takes up the mantle from the late Oliver Postgate, creator and narrator of the original series, who is often cited alongside original Clangers’ co-creator, Peter Firmin, as one of the founding fathers of U.K. animation.

Brilliant Casting were asked by Disney to find a celebrity to help launch the UK Winnie the Pooh Laureate competition. We are delighted to announce that we signed Heart FM radio presenter, Jamie Theakston for the project. The storytelling contest award five people whose Winnie the Pooh inspired stories celebrate their area’s local history and landmarks. says Michelle Jones, animation casting director – Brilliant Casting.
Last year Brilliant Casting did more than just casting and PR; we were also asked to produce the voice recording of several pilots too.
We cast both US and UK character voice actors, kids and star talent, recommended and booked voice directors, studios (including Tamborine, Soho Square Studios and Clearcut Sound) and engineers.
As well as negotiating the rates for everything, we oversaw the editing and delivery of the session files too.
We organised various full day casting sessions for on screen presenters and character voice actors on behalf of clients looking for British and American adults and kids. One of our clients, Red Kite saw their latest pilot, Bradley and Bee, fly straight to the kids primetime slot, Milkshake.
Our team successfully negotiated contract deal points and rates; signed star talent and full ensemble casts for UK and US projects; and booked celebrities for PR events.
We have great pleasure in having recommended artists for end credit vocals for blockbuster films and on screen presenters for kids TV shows.

We were delighted to have teamed up with Maria Kirkham’s kids agency, Platform Talent Management, to put on a full week of Brilliantly Talented Workshops and audition training for kids aged 8 – 18 years old, covering professional techniques and skills for:
Musical Theatre (Laura Jeffery from the Sussex Youth Theatre), and from the Brilliant Casting team –
Stage and TV (Jennifer Marriott), Presenting and Commentating (Marty MacDonald) and Voice Acting (Michelle Jones)
We also included a day with Nick Willoughby from 7 Stream Media who created Showreels and Headshots for the kids’ Spotlight and agents’ websites.
Brilliant Casting were delighted to be asked to produce the voice recordings for two brilliant pilots. Working for a leading kids channel Brilliant Casting organised the casting, star talent, full ensemble cast, voice directors, studios and engineers to work together and create these two 11 minute pilots. Sadly, we’ve been sworn to secrecy so we can’t tell you more….yet! But keep your ears to the ground – they’re sure to hit the headlines as they are brilliant!
