Lewis Hamilton was cast for Cars 2 and recorded his character for the English speaking version of the film in the US. The international dubbing team really wanted Lewis to record his cameo lines in some local languages too – German, Italian and Spanish. Michelle negotiated and signed a new contract with his agent and lawyers for these foreign language versions and recorded Lewis performing all three of these localised scripts at Shepperton Studios in London.

Behind the scenes footage filming, interviews and photography was also arranged on the same recording session day so that each country had their own set of assets to promote his character, and the film, with their local media at the time of the films release.
